How to do it
- Step 1: Setup — sit on a seated calf raise machine, holding a barbell across your thighs.
- Step 2: Initiation — lift your heels off the ground, keeping your knees straight, and raise up onto your tiptoes.
- Step 3: Main movement — slowly lower your heels back down to the starting position, keeping control throughout the movement.
- Step 4: End position — return to the starting position, with your feet flat on the platform.
- Step 5: Breathing reminder — focus on slow, controlled breathing throughout the exercise.
- Step 6: Safety note — avoid leaning forward or using momentum to lift the barbell.
