How to do it
- Step 1: Setup — stand on the step with one foot, holding a dumbbell with the opposite hand
- Step 2: Initiation — lower the body down by stepping down with the other foot, keeping the back knee almost touching the ground
- Step 3: Mid-phase — press the dumbbell away from the body, extending the arm fully
- Step 4: End-position — hold the dumbbell at the end of the range of motion for a brief moment
- Step 5: Return — slowly return the dumbbell to the starting position, keeping control throughout
- Step 6: Breathing and rhythm reminder — focus on slow and controlled movements
- Step 7: Safety note — ensure the step is secure and the dumbbell is properly gripped
