Ingredients
- 1 lb Pork
- 1 large Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
Method
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, then thread the pork, onion, and garlic onto skewers, if using, leaving a little space between each piece to allow for even cooking.
- In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, salt, and black pepper, then sprinkle the spice blend evenly over the pork and onion, making sure to coat it evenly.
- Grill the khorovats for 10–12 minutes per side, or until the pork is cooked through and the onion is tender and lightly charred, flipping occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Once the khorovats is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving, then serve it hot, garnished with fresh herbs, if desired, and accompanied by crusty bread or a side salad, if desired.
- To store, let the khorovats cool completely, then refrigerate or freeze in airtight containers for up to 3 days or 2 months, respectively, then reheat and serve as needed.
- For a crispy exterior and juicy interior, make sure to not overcook the khorovats, and let it rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
