Ingredients
- 150g Canned tuna in water
- 80g Mixed lettuce leaves
- 40g Red bell pepper, diced
- 40g Cucumber, sliced
- 2 tbsp Chilli sauce
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Rice vinegar
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
Method
- Drain the canned tuna and gently flake it with a fork, ensuring no large clumps remain.
- Heat a small saucepan over low heat, add 1 tsp sesame oil and let it warm for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in 2 tbsp chilli sauce, 1 tsp soy sauce, and 1 tsp rice vinegar; cook for 1 minute, whisking constantly to combine the flavors into a smooth dressing.
- Place the mixed lettuce leaves in a large bowl, then top with diced red bell pepper, sliced cucumber, and the flaked tuna.
- Pour the warm dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all ingredients, being careful not to bruise the greens.
- Sprinkle 1 tsp sesame seeds over the salad for a nutty crunch and a hint of toasted flavor.
- Serve immediately, allowing the heat from the dressing to slightly wilt the fresh vegetables while keeping the tuna tender.
