Ingredients

  • 1 can (120g) Canned tuna in water
  • 1, diced Avocado
  • 2 cups Mixed salad greens
  • ½ cup, sliced Cucumber
  • ½ cup, halved Cherry tomatoes
  • ¼ cup, thinly sliced Red onion
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce (low sodium)

Method

  1. Drain the canned tuna and gently flake it into a large mixing bowl, ensuring no large chunks remain.
  2. Add diced avocado, sliced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion to the bowl, tossing lightly to combine.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tsp olive oil, 1 tsp rice vinegar, 1 tsp soy sauce, and a pinch of salt until emulsified, creating the sesame dressing.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad mixture, then gently fold to coat all ingredients evenly, taking care not to mash the avocado.
  5. Transfer the salad onto two plates, arranging the mixed greens as a base and placing the tuna mixture on top.
  6. Sprinkle 1 tbsp sesame seeds over the salad for added crunch and a nutty flavor.
  7. Serve immediately, optionally adding a side of sliced lime for a citrusy finish.
