Ingredients
- 1 cup Almond milk
- 1/2 cup Rolled oats
- 1 cup Fresh berries
- 2 tbsp Maple syrup
- 1 tsp Coconut oil
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Method
- In a large bowl, whisk together almond milk, oats, and maple syrup until well combined, then let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the oats to absorb the liquid.
- Heat a non-stick waffle iron over medium heat, about 3-4 minutes, until it reaches the optimal temperature, then brush it with coconut oil to prevent sticking.
- In a separate bowl, mix together fresh berries and vanilla extract, then set aside to use as topping.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of the oat mixture onto the center of the waffle iron, then spread it out to the edges, making sure to cover the entire surface.
- Cook the waffles for 3-5 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy, then repeat with the remaining oat mixture, about 3-4 times, depending on the size of your waffles.
- Serve the waffles hot with the fresh berry topping and a sprinkle of salt, then enjoy your delicious Belgian waffles.
