Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 large Onion
- 1 large Egg
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 2 tbsp Butter
Method
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, and pepper, mixing until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Use your hands to shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, then flatten them slightly into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, about 2-3 minutes, until melted and foamy, then add the frikadellen and cook for 3-4 minutes, until browned and crispy on the bottom.
- Flip the frikadellen and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until cooked through and browned on the other side, then serve hot with your favorite toppings or sides.
- Repeat the process until all the mixture is used up, about 8-10 frikadellen, then let them cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
- Assemble the frikadellen by placing them on a bun, topping with lettuce, tomato, and your favorite sauce, and serving immediately.
