Ingredients

  • 1 liter Whole milk (or plant milk)
  • 40–60 g (adjust richness) Cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 60–80 g (adjust sweetness) Granulated sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • pinch Salt

Method

  1. In saucepan whisk cocoa powder + sugar + pinch salt with 200 ml milk until smooth paste (no lumps).
  2. Add remaining milk → heat over medium → whisk constantly until steaming hot (do not boil).
  3. Remove from heat → stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Taste & adjust: more cocoa for chocolate intensity, more sugar for sweetness.
  5. Cool slightly → pour into bottles or glasses → refrigerate up to 5 days (shake before drinking).
  6. Serve chilled or warm — creamy, rich homemade chocolate milk.
