Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Chopped walnuts

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter, then set aside, about 2 minutes, then line with parchment paper, about 1 minute.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined, about 2 minutes, then add the unsalted butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, about 4 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together large eggs, vanilla extract, and chopped walnuts until smooth, about 2 minutes, then add the powdered sugar and mix until well combined, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms, about 4 minutes, then knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes, then roll out to a thickness of about 1/4 inch (6 mm).
  5. Cut into small balls and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown, about 10 minutes per side, then remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes, about 5 minutes, then roll in powdered sugar while still warm, about 2 minutes, then let cool completely on a wire rack.
