Ingredients
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 tsp Yeast
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
Method
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar, stir until well combined, about 2 minutes.
- Gradually add water to the bowl, stirring with a wooden spoon until a dough forms, about 5 minutes, then knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat, about 2 minutes, then divide the dough into 4–6 equal pieces, depending on desired size, about 5 minutes.
- Roll out each piece of dough into a thin circle, about 1/8 inch thick, then place in the skillet or on the griddle, cook for 1–2 minutes, until the bottom is lightly browned, then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes, until the other side is lightly browned, about 5 minutes, repeat with the remaining dough pieces.
