Ingredients
- 300 g Old-fashioned rolled oats
- 80 ml Honey or maple syrup
- 60 ml (melted) Coconut oil or neutral oil
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar (optional)
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp Salt
- nuts/seeds (50 g), cinnamon (1 tsp) Optional add-ins
Method
- Preheat oven to 150 °C (300 °F) → line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In large bowl, mix oats + optional add-ins + salt.
- In small saucepan, heat honey/maple + coconut oil + brown sugar + vanilla → stir until melted and smooth (do not boil).
- Pour wet mixture over oats → stir thoroughly until oats are evenly coated.
- Spread mixture on baking sheet → press firmly into compact layer with spatula (for bigger clusters).
- Bake 25–35 minutes without stirring → rotate pan halfway → bake until golden brown.
- Remove from oven → let cool completely undisturbed (2–3 hours) → clusters harden as they cool.
- Break into desired cluster sizes → store in airtight container up to 1 month.
- Makes 4–6 servings — crunchy oat clusters for homemade granola or snacking.
