Ingredients

  • 500 g Raw peanuts (in shell or shelled)
  • 1–2 tsp Optional: sea salt

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. Spread raw peanuts in single layer on baking sheet (use parchment if desired).
  3. Roast 15–25 minutes (shelled 15–20 min, in-shell 20–25 min), shaking pan every 5–7 minutes for even roasting.
  4. Peanuts are done when golden brown, fragrant, and skins start to split (taste one — should be crunchy and nutty, not raw).
  5. Remove from oven → immediately sprinkle with salt while hot (salt sticks better).
  6. Let cool completely on tray (30–60 min — they crisp up as they cool).
  7. Store in airtight container up to 1 month (or freeze for longer).
  8. Makes 500 g — fresh, crunchy homemade roasted peanuts.
