Ingredients
- 2 cups Finger Millet Flour
- 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 large Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 2 inches Ginger
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 cups Beef or Chicken Stock
- 1 cup Water
Method
- Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
- Add onion and cook stirring occasionally until golden-brown, 6–8 minutes.
- Add garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add cayenne pepper and black pepper and cook for 1 minute.
- Add beef or chicken stock and water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, until finger millet flour is cooked and the mixture is smooth, about 20 minutes.
- Add salt to taste and cook for 1 minute.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs, if desired.
