Ingredients
- 200 g Raw almonds
- 1 liter Filtered water
- 1/8 tsp Optional: pinch of sea salt
- for flavor Optional: vanilla extract or dates
Method
- Soak almonds in filtered water overnight (8–12 hours) → drain → rinse thoroughly.
- Add soaked almonds + 1 liter fresh filtered water to high-powered blender → blend 1–2 minutes until very smooth and milky.
- Strain through nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or fine mesh sieve → squeeze gently to extract milk (save pulp for baking or smoothies).
- Optional: add pinch salt or vanilla/dates → blend briefly again.
- Pour into clean glass bottle → shake well.
- Store in fridge up to 4–5 days (shake before use as it separates).
- Makes ≈1 liter — creamy, neutral homemade unsweetened almond milk.
