Ingredients

  • 400 g Roasted unsalted peanuts
  • 150 g Dark or milk chocolate (chopped or chips)
  • 2–4 tbsp (adjust sweetness) Powdered sugar or honey
  • 1–3 tbsp (for smoothness) Neutral oil or melted coconut oil
  • ½ tsp (optional) Sea salt

Method

  1. Roast peanuts if raw: spread on baking sheet → 180 °C (350 °F) 10–15 min until golden → cool completely.
  2. Melt chocolate: use double boiler or microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth → set aside.
  3. Add peanuts to food processor or high-powered blender → process 8–15 minutes, scraping sides often, until very smooth and creamy (goes through crumb → ball → runny stages).
  4. With processor running, slowly drizzle in melted chocolate → process 1–2 minutes until fully incorporated.
  5. Add powdered sugar/honey + salt → process 30 seconds → add oil 1 tbsp at a time if needed for smoother consistency.
  6. Taste & adjust sweetness/salt → process 30 seconds more.
  7. Transfer to clean glass jar → cool to room temperature → refrigerate up to 3 weeks (stir before use if separation occurs).
  8. Makes ≈600 g — rich, creamy chocolate peanut butter spread for toast, smoothies, or desserts.
