Ingredients
- 8 oz Ground beef
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Marinara sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- 1/4 cup Fresh parsley
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare meatballs by mixing ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl until just combined.
- Use hands to shape mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle meatballs with olive oil and gently roll to coat evenly, then bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
- While meatballs are baking, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until warmed through.
- Once meatballs are done, carefully place them in the saucepan with marinara sauce and simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until meatballs are fully coated in sauce, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley, and accompanied by a side of zucchini noodles or whole wheat bread.
