Ingredients
- 1 kg (base) Whey protein isolate (unflavored) OR pea protein isolate
- 100–150 g Optional flavor: cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 20–40 g Optional sweetener: stevia powder or monk fruit
- 5–10 g Optional thickener: xanthan gum or guar gum
- 5 g Optional: sea salt
Method
- Choose base: whey isolate for dairy version (fast-digesting) or pea/rice/soy blend for vegan (complete amino profile).
- In large airtight container or blender pitcher, add protein powder base.
- Add cocoa (for chocolate) or leave plain → add sweetener to taste → add xanthan/guar gum (helps texture in shakes) → add tiny pinch salt.
- Seal container → shake vigorously 1–2 minutes OR pulse in blender in batches until completely uniform.
- Taste test: mix 30 g powder with 250 ml water/milk → adjust flavor/sweetness by adding more cocoa/stevia and re-blending.
- Store in cool, dry, airtight container up to 6–12 months (away from moisture).
- Use 25–35 g per shake with water, milk, or in recipes — homemade protein powder (cost ≈30–50% less than commercial).
- Note: buy high-quality unflavored isolate in bulk for best results.
