Ingredients
- 2 Beef feet
- 1 Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 2 Carrots
- 2 stalks Celery
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
Method
- Place the beef feet in a large pot and add enough cold water to cover them, then bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, about 10–12 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, until the meat is tender and falls off the bone, about 2–3 hours.
- Remove the beef feet from the pot and set them aside to cool, then strain the broth through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean pot, discarding the solids.
- Add the onion, garlic, carrots, and celery to the pot and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 20–25 minutes.
- Add the black pepper, salt, vinegar, and garlic powder to the pot and stir to combine, then return the beef feet to the pot and simmer, covered, until the meat is heated through, about 10–15 minutes.
- Serve the soup hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs and a side of crusty bread for dipping, and offer a squeeze of lemon juice to each guest.
