Ingredients
- 1 cup Udon noodles
- 1/2 cup Pork slices
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 1/4 cup Green onions
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
Method
- Cook udon noodles according to package instructions, about 8–10 minutes, then set aside.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 2 minutes, then add pork and cook until browned, about 3–4 minutes.
- Add soy sauce, mirin, and 2 tbsp of water to the skillet, then stir to combine and bring to a boil, cooking until the sauce has thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Add cooked udon noodles to the skillet, stirring to combine with the sauce and pork, then cook for an additional 2 minutes, until the noodles are well coated.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve immediately, ensuring the noodles are al dente and the sauce is bubbly.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1 tbsp of soy sauce and 1 tbsp of mirin, then brush the mixture onto the noodles for added flavor, if desired.
