Ingredients
- 1 cup Glutinous Rice Flour
- 1 Eggs
Method
- In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of glutinous rice flour and 1/2 cup of water to form a sticky dough.
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth, then divide into 2 equal pieces.
- Roll out each piece of dough into a thin sheet, about 1/16 inch thick.
- Brush the dough sheets with 1 egg, beaten, and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high and cook the dough sheets, folded in half, until golden brown, 2–3 minutes per side.
- Serve the Gyeran-ppang with a side of spicy sauce, made by mixing 2 tablespoons of gochujang with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of milk and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch until smooth.
- Pour the milk mixture into the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, 5–7 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and let cool slightly, then slice into wedges and serve.
